Vision
The last few school years have been very difficult for everyone in Belmont. Our community has become divided at a time when we most need to work together. There is a great deal of complex work ahead of us, and we will not be successful unless we restore the reputation of our schools and the School Committee to pre-pandemic levels and find ways to discuss and debate complex issues with more civility.
Jeff will work hard to repair the fractures in our community and restore confidence in the BPS by working collaboratively with families and other Committee members to ensure that the School Committee becomes a publicly accountable, results-based learning organization that fulfills its statutory responsibilities and consistently makes decisions with clear purpose and efficient processes. He will promote the disciplined and transparent use of data to celebrate success, evaluate strategy, and abandon initiatives that are not working.
